The bodies of an engaged couple were discovered in the Carmel forest Saturday morning near the Ein Hod artists' colony.

Police were investigating whether 19-year-old Hiam Kadur from Daliat al-Carmel and 27-year-old Hakim Kiuf from Usfiya died as the result of a murder-suicide, double suicide or double murder.

A couple who was passing through the area on Saturday morning discovered the bodies and called MDA paramedics to the scene. The paramedics found the man's body hanging from a tree and the woman's body near a vehicle parked on the scene.

According to Army Radio, an argument broke out between the families of the engaged couple on Friday night, and Kadur's two brothers were arrested after attacking Kiuf.
