Likud MK Ze'ev Elkin on Wednesday praised security forces for the overnight arrests of 51 Palestinians released in the Gilad Schalit deal.

The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman said "the time has come to change the rules of the game which Hamas is trying to dictate to us."

Elkin said that, henceforth, terrorists would know that kidnappings of Israelis would only serve to put hundreds more terrorists in Israeli prisons.

The Likud MK vowed to promote legislation that would put all terrorists freed from prison on probation.
