Fars: Larijani meets Assad, emphasizes Iran's support

Iranian Speaker Ali Larijani emphasized Tehran's support of the Syrian regime on Friday during a meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus, Iranian news agency Fars reported.

According the report, the two discussed major regional issues during their meeting.

"Unfortunately, some western countries are impeding Syria's approach to reform, but Tehran is committed to support democratic reforms there and it is against adventurous actions," Larijani told reporters ahead of his trip.
