Opposition leader Isaac Herzog on Monday threatened to petition the High Court of Justice if Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu does not select a new chairman for the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

Speaking at the weekly Labor Party faction meeting, Herzog said, "The state is not a game or a kindergarten. If you don't decide by February 23 who you are going to put in charge of the committee, then the High Court of Justice will force you to do so."
