Hollande to Abbas: France supports Palestinian unity government

French President Francois Holland spoke on the phone Thursday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and stressed Paris's support for the new Palestinian unity government.

Hollande also expressed his dissatisfaction over Israeli plans to continue settlement building, according to Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Abbas in turn praised France for its support for Fatah-Hamas reconciliation and the Palestinian unity government.
