IDF requests life terms for Palmer killers

The IDF prosecution on Monday asked the Judea Military Court to sentence Ali Saada, the second man convicted of the murders of Asher Palmer, 25, and his baby son, Yonatan, in 2011 to more than two life sentences.
In addition, Michael Palmer asked for a “legal price tag” of approximately NIS 10 million in damages, hoping to make it more difficult for Saada to be freed in any future possible prisoner releases.
According to the IDF, on September 23, 2011, Wa’al al-Arjeh and Saada intentionally threw stones from a moving taxi, at least one of which went through the front windshield of Asher’s vehicle while on Highway 60 outside Kiryat Arba, killing him and his son.
