IDF soldier wounded in Gaza operation release from hospital

The officer who was seriously wounded in an operation earlier this week in the Gaza Strip was released from Soroka hospital this afternoon. He was taken by helicopter to the trauma room in Soroka after he suffered a very serious injury.
Dr. George Grimberg, Director of the Department of Vascular Surgery in Soroka, who analyzed the officer said, "After the initial treatment he received in the field and in the helicopter, the soldier was evacuated to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. After stabilizing his condition in a trauma room while carrying out life-saving operations, he was rushed to an operating room where we performed complex surgical procedures. After being admitted to a general intensive care unit, he recovered and was transferred for further treatment to the Department of Vascular Surgery. He was released today in good condition ready for rehabilitation."
