Israel Beytenu announced Monday that it would support Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's initiative to delay presidential elections for six months if it was based on Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman's to change Israel's government to a presidential system.

The announcement came after Netanyahu's initiative faced heavy criticism within the coalition, including from members of his own Likud faction.
