Israel's Gelfand takes on Indian reigning champion in chess

The Chess Championship 2012 in Russia was underway Friday, with Israel's Boris Gelfand taking on Indian defending champion Viswanathan Anand.

The tournament will last twenty days, with the winner taking home the lion's share of the $2.5 million prize fund.
