Kadima leader Shaul Mofaz appointed MK Yisrael Hasson to head the party's elections staff on Saturday.
"I trust and am certain that Yisrael, formerly deputy head of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), will fulfill the role in the best way, as he has throughout his years in the Knesset and during his service," Mofaz said in a statement posted on the official Kadima Facebook page.
Kadima is going into the upcoming elections in order to return the security, judgement and compassion that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's government discarded, Mofaz added. "The State of Israel deserves better than Netanyahu and Kadima is much better than Netanyahu."
