Kadima MK Shaul Mofaz was one of the first Israeli Knesset members to react to the results of the Iranian elections on Saturday which saw moderate cleric Hassan Rohani become the next Iranian president.
"The (results) of the Iranian election are like an earth quake," Mofaz said, "it is a dramatic result that speaks worlds about the way the wind is blowing on the streets of Iran, in terms of its internal politics."
Still Mofaz was cautious in his praise of the elections, saying "I still don't expect there to be any political changes for the Iranian nuclear plans, and their intervention in Syria and Lebanon."
