Murdered Jerusalem woman had reported husband to police days before fatal stabbing

The woman murdered Thursday in Jerusalem, 45-year-old Avital Rokah, had reported her husband to police less than a week before her murder, Israel Radio reported on Friday.
Rokah's ex-husband was arrested shortly after the murder as a suspect in the crime and was found in possession of a knife suspected of being used in the fatal stabbing.
On August 29, a little under a week before the murder, Rokah had called police with a report that the ex-husband attacked her. He was arrested, but released with conditions and a restraining order shortly after.
A few days later, Rokah's son called police to warned them of fears that the ex-husband might attack his mother. Officers were deployed to the house and advised her to go to a shelter for battered women, Israel Police said.
