Netanyahu: I don't intend to raise taxes in face of deficit

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Saturday stated that he did not intend on raising taxes if he is reelected in the upcoming election.
"I don't think we need to raise taxes. I don't intend to raise taxes," Netanyahu said in an interview with Channel 2.
The prime minister's comments came after the Finance Ministry announced last week that the final budget deficit for 2012 hit 4.2 percent of GDP, blowing the 2% deficit originally planned for 2012 and the 3% deficit target out of the water.
