Nine Israelis temporarily arrested in Thailand

the nine Israeli nationals were giving the officers a demonstration on mobile cellphone tracking technology when they were arrested.

In what has been described by Thai police as a "misunderstanding, a group of Israelis were briefly arrested while making a business pitch at Bangkok's police headquarters.
Thailand's national police spokesman, Prawut Thavornsiri, told AFP on Saturday that the nine Israeli nationals were giving the officers a demonstration on mobile cellphone tracking technology when they were arrested. The officers had evidently been under the impression that the Israelis did not have the necessary paperwork to carry such technology in the country.
“There was a misunderstanding that the trackers did not have the right permission, but actually they did have it,” Prawut said.
