Report: IDF shoots Palestinian on Gaza border; IDF: No live munitions used

A Gaza man from the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza was reportedly shot and injured by IDF forces on Friday, according to Palestinian news agency Ma'an who quoted local medics.

The 21-year-old injured man was being treated in hospital, according to the report.

According to the Army Spokesman's Office, soldiers identified a suspicious person approaching the border fence. The person crossed into the restricted zone and soldiers used riot dispersal munitions after the man did not stop. The spokesman's office stated that no live rounds were fired.
