Peres released from hospital after hernia operation

President Shimon Peres was released from hospital on Sunday morning following a hernia operation that he underwent at Sheba Medical Center on Friday.
Peres wanted to go home on Saturday, but his physician Prof. Rafi Walden persuaded him to stay just a little longer for observation, in case of any unexpected complication.
Peres did not cancel all of his Sunday appointments, and went ahead with several scheduled meetings.  He anticipates returning to regular activity later in the week.
