Report: Half a billion nis to be invested in Gaza border communities

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot took part in a meeting with Gaza border community leaders and presented them with a new plan to invest half a billion nis to enhance security and quality of life in the south of Israel, Army Radio reported.

If approved, the plan will invest heavily in emergency medical services, education, welfare and extra funds to support local communities in the Gaza border area.

Eizenkot presented the efforts taken by the IDF to improve security in the south.
