Mauritanian authorities have uncovered a Mossad network in the African country, involved in the assassination of Hamas operative Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai, the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar news portal reported on Wednesday.
Quoting Mauritanian daily Al-Huriyeh
, Al-Manar stated that a number of Arab nationals had been recruited to the spy network that was involved in the blowing up of an Ethiopian airplane in Lebanon, in which a Hezbollah target was on board, in addition to involvement in the Mabhouh hit.
According to the report, the Mauritanian authorities opened an investigation into the case after arresting an agent carrying a letter in which he professed knowledge of both espionage operations.
