Report: Officer who struck protester to be dismissed

IDF Sources said Tuesday that Chief-of-Staff Benny Gantz will dismiss Lt.-Col. Shalom Eisner, the officer filmed striking a protester in the face with his M-16 on Sunday.

According to the report, unconfirmed by The Jerusalem Post, Gantz will relieve Eisner of his position as deputy-commander of the Jordan Valley Brigade, but will possibly instate him in another role in the military.
