Retired judge Edna Bekenstein cast doubt on Thursday on the possibility of former Prime Minister Ehud Barak's return to politics, commenting that if he faced elections again, it would be a violation of moral and legal reasoning.

"How could a someone who was on probation for one year lead the country?" the former president of Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court questioned.

She added that Israel's future leader should have clean hands, and that Olmert's hands were unclean.
