Road safety authority issues instructions in case of rocket sirens

The National Road Safety Authority reminded residents on Tuesday to take specific precautions in case a siren sounds while driving. When exiting the car, drivers should slow down, pull over and turn on the emergency signal lights, the authority stressed.

In addition, drivers and passengers must make sure to open the doors very carefully to avoid passing vehicles, and should also avoid crossing the road.

The Home Front Command instructs drivers and passengers that cannot make it in time to protective cover to get out of the car, lie down and cover their heads with their hands.
