Romney accepts Republican US presidential nomination

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney officially accepted the Republican US presidential nomination on Thursday at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida.

"Mr. Chairman and delegates I accept your nomination for President of the United States," Romney stated at the opening of his speech to the conference.

Romney was introduced by Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
