BELGRADE - Incumbent Serbian President Boris Tadic conceded defeat on Sunday in a presidential run-off against rightist opposition leader Tomislav Nikolic.
President since 2004, Tadic appealed for the country to continue with its aim of integrating with the European Union.
"I am appealing to all political factors to preserve Serbia's strategic orientation towards the EU," he told a news conference.
