Seventeen injured in Quebec factory explosion

An explosion at an industrial plant in Sherbrooke, Quebec injured 17 people on Thursday - five with serious burns. One person was airlifted to Montreal for treatment, according to a spokesperson with the Sherbrooke University Hospital Center.

The explosion occurred at Neptune Technologies. The blast sparked a fire at the site and thick black smoke filled the air.

Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blast.
