Channel 2: Police set to close Elon sexual misconduct case

As the Rabbi Mordechai (Motti) Elon sexual misconduct investigation draws to its conclusion, police say it appears there will be no need to launch a criminal case against the prominent national religious rabbi, Channel 2 reported.
The allegations against Elon came to light earlier this year after Takana, a rabbinical forum that investigates allegations of sexual abuse in the religious community, posted a statement on its Web site alleging that the rabbi had been accused of having sexual relations with some of his male students.
However, according to the television channel, police say it seems that Elon didn’t break any law since the relations were apparently with consent and that it appears there was no exploiting of his students.
