Bulldozer runs over, kills Bat Yam man while sunbathing

A Bat Yam man was run over and killed by a bulldozer while he was sunbathing on the city's Colony Beach on Tuesday, police reported.

Paramedics evacuated the victim, Oleg Reichlin, 43, from the scene, but pronounced him dead shortly thereafter.

The bulldozer was being used to cart supplies to a building site on the beach when it ran over Reichlin. It is assumed that the driver was not able to see the man from the vehicle's elevated seat and that the incident was not intentional.

Tel Aviv police said that the Ayalon sub-district's investigative unit has opened a probe into the accident, and is examining whether or not the driver is guilty of gross negligence that resulted in Reichlin's death.
