Dog bites man and dog; canine treated by Magen David Adom paramedics

Magen David Adom paramedics who were alerted about a Nahariya man bitten by a dog this week found that they had two patients to treat -- a human and a canine. The mobile intensive care unit arrived at Rehov Shprinzak and found a man aged around 35 with a small cut on his finger; next to him lay a dog with severe bleeding from both its legs; the animal was very weak and barely conscious.
The man did not require medical treatment, because the bite was minor, but the dog needed immediate care.
While reporting the incident to the local veterinarian, the MDA staffers learned that the dog that had attacked both man and dog was licensed and had an owner. The paramedic bandaged the dog’s legs, and a municipality ban evacuated it and took him to the veterinarian.
