Two indicted for rape, attempted sodomy in south Tel Aviv

A 37-year-old Sudanese man raped a woman moments after meeting her in a pub near Tel Aviv's Central Bus Station, according to a indictment filed by the Tel Aviv District Attorney on Thursday.

A second man, a 20-year-old Eritrean citizen, is charged with attempting to sodomize the woman.

According to the indictment, the two men - Ahmad Abdallah and Kidesh Tekle - attacked the woman in the early hours of May 15, shortly after meeting her in a pub. Allegedly, Abdallah and Tekle dragged the woman into a dark side street where they brutally sexually assaulted her.

Abdallah also threatened the police officer who later questioned him in connection with the incident, the indictment said.
