Egypt's army tells protesters to leave Tahrir Square

The head of the Egyptian army's central command spoke to protesters amassed in Cairo's Tahrir Square Saturday afternoon and urged them to leave the square, Al Jazeera reported.According to the report, the anti-government protesters responded to General General Abdel Meneem Khalil with chants of: "We are not leaving, he (Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak) is leaving."Earlier, some 500 protesters arrived in the central Cairo square from the Egyptian city of Suez. Also Saturday, Egyptian Copts called for mass protests to take place on Sunday, Al Jazeera reported. Other protesters had mirrored the calls for continued protests on Sunday, calling it "the day of the martyred," referring to those killed in the 12 days of ongoing protests and clashes that have been taking place throughout Egypt.
