UN peacekeepers escape into Israel from Jamla fire

Seven of the UN peacekeepers stationed in the Syrian Golan Heights fled into Israel on Thursday night after the fighting in the village of Jamla reached their post, the IDF confirmed to Army Radio on Friday. They later return to their post.
21 other UN peacekeepers are still held hostage by Syrian rebels, who failed to release them despite statements from the Free Syrian Army that their capture was a massive mistake and that their release is imminent.
