India, Russia to expand military cooperation

NEW DELHI — India and Russia on Monday agreed to expand their long-standing military cooperation ahead of a trip by the Russian president next month.
Visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that agreements on military cooperation should be signed during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit. Those include an agreement on the design of a fifth-generation fighter aircraft that the countries are working on.
Lavrov added that documents on energy, technology and space would also be signed.
