MK Ariel: Immigrant infiltration is a 'catastrophe'

MK Uri Ariel, the chairman of the Knesset's government oversight committee, expressed grave concerns Wednesday over immigrant infiltration into Israeli neighborhoods, calling the problem a "catastrophe" for the country.
Speaking during a visit to a south Tel Aviv neighborhood, Ariel said the country must mobilize all of its resources to solve the problem of infiltration, saying that law enforcement would be insufficient by itself to resolve the issues.
"What we see here today is a catastrophe," Ariel said in a public statement, saying that the government must address infiltration as a national disaster.
Ariel was touring the Levinsky neighborhood in south Tel Aviv with a delegation of government officials, including Knesset members who represented a number parties.
