Rabbi Elon admits caressing youth, 'without sexual intent'

Rabbi Mordechai (Motti) Elon, accused of carrying out indecent acts on two minors, on Sunday responded to allegations against him, saying that any act he carried out was without sexual intent. Rabbi Elon is charged with five counts of indecent assault and indecent assault by force.
In a document that he submitted to the court, the rabbi admitted a number of the facts - that he met with one of the complainants, and that he hugged and caressed him, but he denied that there was any sexual intention behind the acts. According to Elon, it was part of his educational teachings.
The document reads, "the rabbi does not recall the meeting with the first complainant," as Elon, the former head of Yeshivat Hakotel met with many students.
The document also states: "The rabbi admits having met with the second complainant and says that he hugged and stroked him in an expression of sympathy for the youth, who had lost a close family member, and not for sexual arousal."
