Bullets in an envelope sent to a Lod District judge

Police are investigating a new threat made to an Israeli justice official, after an envelope containing two pistol bullets and a death threat was sent to the office of Lod District Judge Yaakov Shefser this week.
Shfela subdistrict police have set up a special investigative team to probe the death threat against Shefser, and have beefed up security around his house and office.
Shfela police said Thursday that they don't have any suspects or don't know who would want to harm Shefser, who was known mainly for working civil cases and family law cases, and not criminal cases involving organized crime figures. At the moment they are going through his case history to try to determine who may have wanted to threaten him.
The incident comes almost two months after a bomb detonated in a jeep belonging to a Tel Aviv prosecutor known for working organized crime cases. The prosecutor was not in the vehicle at the time.
