'PLO may break agreements if Israeli violations continue'

The Palestinian leadership is considering breaking past agreements signed with Israel in response to Israel's current policies, senior PLO official Yasser Abed Rabbo said in an interview with London-based Arabic language daily Al-Hayat, published Saturday.
"There are agreements between the PLO and Israel. One party cannot continue to be committed to these agreements forever while the other party violates them," said Abed Rabbo, an adviser to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. "There may come a time, if the Israelis continue in the same policies, to reconsider these agreements,' he added.
Abed Rabbo stated that Israeli building in West Bank settlements would prevent a peace agreement from being attained.
