Police arrest three activists in protest against PA UN bid

Three Right-wing activists were arrested on Thursday at a protest outside the UN headquarters in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood of Jerusalem during an attempt to burn the Palestinian flag as a demonstration against the Palestinian UN observer-status bid.
MKs Arieh Eldad and Michael Ben-Ari, who formed a new party called Strong Israel, said they wanted to burn the Palestinian flag in order to show that there never was and never will be a Palestinian state.
Deputy commander of the Moriah precinct, Yaakov Cohen, asked the MKs not to burn the flag in order to avoid riots and disturbances of the peace. When the MKs refused, he forcibly tore the flag of their hands, initiating a short scuffle between the twenty protesters and police.
