The Knesset Labor, Social Welfare and Heath committee on Wednesday declared illegal drugs dubbed “Big Brother,” “Herzl Make You Fly,” “Extreme,” “Space Gold,” “iFeel,” “Sebaba” and “Sebaba Chrome” – as they are commonly known on the streets.
Committee chairman Haim Katz said that every month, his committee would declare illegal additional types of dangerous drugs.
The committee amended the list of recognized illegal drugs at the urgent request of the Health Ministry and the Israel Police, whose representatives were at the meeting.
Ch.-Supt. Udi Wolf said that before the holidays and the summer vacation, owners of drug kiosks rush to get a large supply of drugs sold to teenagers with the label “Spiritual Incense.” Wolf added that often, after one chemical substance is made illegal, new ingredients imported from China replace them and have to be recognized as dangerous drugs.
Katz concluded that if such is the case, “We will wear them out. My committee will put itself at the disposal of the ministry and the police and meet monthly to change the list of dangerous drugs if needed. Thus we will be able to match the speed of the sick importation of drugs. We will do all we can to stop these risky consumer habits of youths.”
