PM: 'Ze'evi's killers will remain in prison'

"As long as I am prime minister, the murderers of Minister Rehavam Ze'evi will continue to sit in prison," said Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Wednesday evening at a speech given at a conference held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jerusalem - where Ze'evi was assassinated eight years ago.

"The floor above us absorbed the blood of an Israeli minister, war hero, general in the IDF, and a man of Israel," said Netanyahu.

In recent weeks, the name one of the people considered responsible for Ze'evi's murder, Achmed Saadat. leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, has been raised by Hamas as part of the ongoing negotiations for a prisoner-swap leading to the release of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.
