Lod: Toddler dies after locking himself in car

After parents search for hours, MDA pronounces the 3-year-old boy dead after suffering dehydration, heat stroke.

A three-year-old boy was found dead after being trapped inside a locked car in Lod on Sunday.
After playing in the yard of his home, the boy locked himself in the vehicle.  His parents who searched for him found him unconscious and in serious condition.
The toddler was brought to a local gas station where Magen David Adom Ayalon crews began resuscitation efforts.  He was evacuated, still unconscious, to Asaf Harofeh Hospital where doctors pronounced his death as a result of dehydration and heat stroke.
The police called to the scene began their initial investigations. They said that after the boy played around the family's home, he disappeared and his parents found him only three hours later inside the vehicle. He entered the unlocked car and then accidentally locked himself in.
