Israel, love ya babe, but it's maybe it's time to fire your PR people, already! What was the point of timing such an announcement so awkwardly? If the project was 3 years in the works, what would have been the big deal to have waited a couple more days before announcing it, and not embarrassed so many friends? Some strategy I guess I'm not getting.

I have just read a BBC article which draws attention to the widespread criticism of Israel for "daring" to build in their capital city. As a UK christian I want to tell you, Israel that you have MY whole hearted support. Any christian who doesn't support you in what you are doing either doesnt read or doesnt believe their Bible. Shame on them and all power to you!

Steve you are obviously lacking in grey matter. Israel has been the home to Jews for thousands of years. To deny that fact is ridiculous.

As a liberal American and lifelong supporter of Israel, I have to say that insulting the Vice President of our country for some pedantic domestic political gain has shocked American sensibilities. In a sense, I'm pleased the Israel is so self-confident that it feels they can do this sort of thing with impunity. Perhaps it means Israel is ready to stand on her own. Mazel tov.

Doesn't matter what Israel does now. The demographics in 10, 20, 50 years will decide what happens to Palestine. I think it's all downhill for Israel ...
