Two boys, 16, killed in car accident near Palmahim

Police say boy drove vehicle belonging to mother without license or permission; another boy was reportedly in car, sustained injuries.

Two boys were killed when their vehicle crashed into a bus station on Route 431 near Kibbutz Palmahim overnight Tuesday.

Magen David Adom Ayalon crews who arrived on scene pronounced the deaths of 16-year-olds Tomer Ziv and Dudi Ben-Ami after a prolonged resuscitation.
According to initial police investigations, one of the 16-year-olds was driving the vehicle, belonging to his mother, without a license or permission.
Police believe the boy was driving at high speeds and lost control of the vehicle which slammed into the barriers of the bus station.
A few hours after the accident, it was revealed that there was another youth in the car who was injured in the accident and sustained minor injuries.
According to the police investigation, the boy panicked and fled the scene of the accident, then came on his own to Wolfson Hospital in Holon.
