Two rock-throwing incidents occurred in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan on Sunday, leaving two people hurt in the latest bout of violence there.
In the afternoon, an assailant hurled a rock at a car, lightly wounding the driver, a woman in her 30s. The victim was taken for treatment to Hadassah-University Hospital, Mount Scopus.

The neighborhood has seen daily incidents since a security guard killed an Arab resident on September 22, after he was attacked by a group of people throwing rocks in his direction during an early morning patrol.
Meanwhile, the Knesset Committee on the Rights of the Child has declared
an emergency hearing on children’s involvement in stonethrowing
incidents in Silwan, the committee announced on Sunday.
Committee
chairman Danny Danon, as well as David Be’eri – the founder of the City
of David Foundation, who was accused of running over rock-throwing
children during a confrontation on Friday – will chair the meeting.
