Hey D’’ash! I’ve been meaning to write you an email wishing you a Shana Tova for
quite a while, but it kept slipping my mind. Finally I remembered! Shana Tova! I
hope you had a nice, relaxing chag, and a fantastic new year! I also wanted to
thank you once again for giving me the incredible opportunity to intern with
you. I learned so much. From working on a deadline, to turning an idea into a
story and, of course, how to write more concisely. As school has begun
and I’m back into “paper writing mode” I realize how much the tools I have
learned at the Jpost have helped me. I am so grateful that I was lucky
enough to have a truly amazing internship, and I have the whole team to thank
for that. Hope all is wonderful with you! All the best, Emily Young, New
York
Hi Emily! We’re really happy to hear you got so much from the internship
and that it’s helping with your studies. Opportunities like this can
often help with your “formal” education and paper writing. We’re so glad
you get to reap the benefits of spending a summer here in our
office. Shana tova and we hope you’re doing well! Best, D’’ash team
A
continued conversation between reader/writer and editor:
Hello D’’ash, Seeing my
work in D”ash is probably one of my most amazing accomplishments! I have been
showing it to all of my friends and family and they love it. It is so gratifying
to be a part of an international publication. Thank you so much for
making this happen. I may be getting a job drawing for the Israel Campus
Beat which is an online news source for all things related to Israel going on on
college campuses : http://israelcampusbeat.org/home.aspx
Also, I am being
published in The College Zionist, which is a publication of The Zionist
Organization of America. Lastly, this year I am an MZ Grinspoon Intern
for the Israel on Campus Coalition: http://israelcc.org/ My goal is to
change/influence the view of Israel on campus at Florida State University to
help create a more positive outlook. I know that D”ash focuses on bridging those
young people outside Israel with young people in Israel, and since this is a
college student driven initiative, I was wondering if you could give me
feedback. In addition if there is any way that D”ash could be of service I would
be greatly appreciative.
By the way, the entire October issue was
fantastic. I love how it focused on art. Hopefully I get the issue
framed.
All the best, Daniel Ackerman, Florida
Hi Daniel, Firstly, we’re
happy you enjoyed the October issue. Thanks so much for contributing such a
great comic! We hope you’ll send pieces to D’’ash in the future.
If you
want to send over the proposal, we can definitely give you some
feedback.
Good luck! Best, D’’ash team
