Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced Thursday the appointment of former
senior Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) official Eitan Ben-David to head the
National Security Council's Counter Terrorism Bureau.
Ben-David will
replace Nitzan Nuriel, who held the position for four years.
Ben-David,
49, served in the Shin Bet for 26 years in a variety of senior positions, most
recently as deputy heady of security.
