Supreme Court scoffs at Ulpana request

High Court Justices on Sunday scoffed at the state's request to renew discussion on its prior ruling that the Ulpana outpost must be demolished, Israel Radio reported.

Supreme Court Justice Uzi Fogelman warned that the move sets a bad precedent for revisiting court rulings on political grounds.

"There is a ruling," he said. "I don't understand this legal framework. It means that with every ruling, the state will come back and ask to open it."

Supreme Court Justice Salim Jubran added, "The exceptional request is becoming routine."
