The Knesset is expected to approve the new national unity government within 48 hours. It is the seventh such government in Israel's history.
Netanyahu and Mofaz approved a last-minute deal before dawn on Tuesday to form a national unity government that would postpone early elections. News of the deal came in the midst of a lengthy plenum meeting that was expected to vote to dissolve the 18th Knesset.
