Lag Ba'omer celebrations begin this evening with traditional bonfires throughout the country. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to celebrate near the tomb of Shimon Bar Yochai on Mount Meron, one of the focal points of the holiday.
Starting Wednesday morning, the site of the tomb on the mountain will be closed to vehicular traffic from all directions.
