Two men in their thirties were fired upon and injured near the central bus station in Lod on Monday.
MDA paramedics evacuated one man in critical condition and another who was lightly wounded to Assaf Harofeh Medical Center at Tzrifin.
Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident. Initial reports suggested that the gunfire came from a passing car.
