Paramedics: Woman in her 40s found in central bus station bathroom with signs of violence on her body; police investigating.

Police were investigating the death of a woman in her forties who was found in a bathroom stall at Tel Aviv's Central Bus Station Tuesday morning.

Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the scene found the woman without any signs of life and pronounced her dead. Paramedics said there appeared to be signs of violence on the woman's body.

Angel Yaakov, a store owner at the bus station, said Tuesday that “these incidents destroy things for us because people are terrified to come here.”

He added that the area had suffered from a bad image for years, mainly due to such incidents as this, but also, because of what he said is negative media coverage.

"The bus station is fine. There are so many great businesses here, but the media always ruins it for us.”

Last weekend, a 27-year-old east Jerusalem man was stabbed to death by a coworker at the Tel Aviv bakery where he worked.

Police arrested a 25-year-old Jaffa man on suspicion of killing his coworker.

Upon hearing the news of the murder, the victim’s family arrived at the bakery and began destroying the site, hurling objects into the shop.

A small forensics police presence at the site was unable to control the disturbance, and a backup force from the Special Patrol Unit arrived on the scene and arrested six of the rioting relatives.

Police suspect the stabbing occurred following an argument between the two men.
