This past week the Ga’ash Golf Club hosted a charity golf tournament in support
of EZRA, in memory of the late Celle Mandel. EZRA’s mission statement places an
emphasis on volunteering to help and support less fortunate
children.
There was a full field of 60 golfers playing in great
conditions.
The format was a better-ball stableford competition 75 percent
handicap.
Two groups ended the day on 42 stableford points, Avraham Levy
and Eli Chitayat as well as the duo of Alex Okon and Chaim
Shaininger.
Levy and Chitayat took first place on a count
out.
Nearest to the pin prizes went to Eli Streit and Lorna Arenson and
prizes for the longest drive went to Evi Wyler and Eddie Shapiro.
At the
awards ceremony, held on the deck of the Greenfield restaurant, tournament
organizer Judy Reefe thanked the Ga’ash Golf Club for hosting this important
event and the players for there continues support of the EZRA
tournament.
Ga’ash golfers are now looking forward to the second
qualifying round of the International Paris tournament to be held next week with
a record field of 72 golfers.
